Our work is based on the cooperation of the members of our network under
the basic principle of a fair co-existence between different cultures,
towns, people and institutions. We propose and promote new processes of
communication and trade, hoping to transform today's individualistic and
voracious system of commercial relations into a system that integrates
the fair and just trade of goods, services, ideas, culture, etc.
Bioplaneta seeks to provide a place for the sectors of the world in need
of assistance, always respecting the values, culture, natural resources
and traditions of each region that participate in Red Bioplaneta (The
Bioplaneta Network)
These values are based in the following premises:
Environmental Sustainability
All of the processes and commercial/productive activity must promote the
conservation and/or rehabilitation of the environmentt.
Cultural Equity
All cultures, whether local, regional, or traditional, are considered
to have the same value. The exchange between different cultures enriches
everyone and everything. Diversity enriches. Cultural values that support
sustainability, tolerance, solidarity and the common good, form the primary
point of union between cultures.
Equality in the Value of Work The economic value of a product
cannot be limited to its value in the market (in today's concept of the
free market). Rather, it should incorporate an equitable value that takes
into account: the distribution of wealth; physical work; intellectual
work; personal and group ability; technology; cultural and natural capital;
etc.
